"Living 5 mins from this pub I'm glad to see it's had such a makeover. The decor is tasteful - modern yet sympathetic to the old building. There's been a roaring fire the 3 times I've been in. Landlord is friendly and there's a fair selection of ales, and a friendly atmosphere, despite not being overly full - Given time, when word gets around this could become the best pub in Carshalton"
